Full-Featured Communications Service Monitor
While the 2975 pushes testing technology to a higher level we didn t forget about the basics. For complete transmitter spectrum performance testing swept antenna and transmission line testing and at-a-glance troubleshooting the 2975 comes standard with a digitized 2.7 GHz spectrum analyzer and dual-channel digital storage oscilloscope. Then with the functionality of over 20 discrete instruments integrated into a single platform the 2975 provides all the tools you need to perform comprehensive RF testing for AM/FM and P25 radio systems.
High Tech Testing That s Decidedly Simple To Use
Building advanced functionality into a test instrument means little if it s too complex to use efficiently. That s why we ve focused considerable resources on ensuring the 2975 s advanced functions are easily harnessed.
Man-Machine Interface
The high-resolution color display and alphanumeric keypad with multi-task soft keys provide the foundation of a user-friendly interface. Then we re-thought our menu structure to make even the most complex test routines simple and straightforward. We also included a UUT test port for automated radio testing.
Options for the 2975 radio test set include:
Enhanced Channel Logging Capabilities
Software version 1.8.2 and higher enhances the 2975 s ability to log control channel and conventional P25 messages at any frequency and then display the ray symbols the octets and then the actual information at the message level. These messages include: OSP Control Channel Messages ISP Control Channel Message and LCO Conventional Messages.
Remote Testing Capability and P25 Trunking Option
Using the instrument s exclusive ethernet connection the 2975 can be assigned a specific Internet Protocol (IP) address creating a “virtual” instrument that can be redirected to a remote user for monitoring and testing purposes.
SCCB Messaging Option
The 2975 now optionally supports the Secondary Control Channel Broadcast message for either explicit or normal P25 trunked operation. The addition of this feature allows the user to set up simulated control channels to verify how P25 radios switch over to secondary control channels. The explicit mode supports one additional control channel and the implicit mode supports two additional control channels.
Adjacent Status Broadcast Messaging
The 2975 now optionally supports the Adjacent Channel Broadcast message for explicit P25 trunked operation. The addition of this feature allows the user to set up a simulated adjacent control channel to verify how P25 radios switch over to adjacent control channels in roaming modes.
